Our client Suzlon is active in 21 countries and 14.000 employees. This department employs 70 FTE's and is responsible for the R&D of the rotor blades. Project aspects of these rotor blades are represented in Hengelo and The Hague in The Netherlands, Pune and Baroda in India, and Århus in Denmark.
Position In the Aerodynamics & Loads Department, the Aerodynamics team is concerned with knowledge development regarding the improvement of aerodynamic design of rotor blades, and the dynamic behaviour of the entire turbine. The team, consisting of Aerodynamic Specialists and Aerodynamics/Load Specialists, collaborates intensively with the Turbine Development Group of the mother company and universities.The head of Aerodynmics and loads directs and controls product improvements. He/she is responsible for the releases of aerodynamic designs, and initiates and maintains ongoing relations with centers of excellence. He/She leads and manages the team, and takes responsibility for achieving top technological positions in industry on the area of his/her expertise.
Candidate profile
The ideal candidate has a degree in Physics, Aeronautical, Aerospace Engineering or Mechanical Engineering from a University in applied sciences or a Polytechnic college, and a relevant experience in an international R&D environment. He/She is willing to travel internationally occasionally. A good knowledge of wind energy is an advantage. A good understanding of the dutch language is preferred.
