Job description

Our client, a successful manufacturer of wind turbines is searching for an experienced Wind Blade Structure Engineer

Our client offers excellent training and development support for your career development.

You will be responsible for:

  • Work closely with global Wind Blade Engineering team to lead the new technology or product development tasks in China team, follow design practices, work with local team members and use Blade airfoil and application load data to deliver quality results on structure calculation and analysis;
  • Provide engineering support to solve Wind Blade technical issues from China fleet and during new project execution;
  • Provide engineering support to Wind Blade qualifications in China; go through detail manufacturing and testing phases and solve technical problems related to design; ensure the quality and timeliness of qualification deliverables;
  • Provide engineering support to solve technical issues affecting Wind Blade functionality, quality and producibility on supplier sites;
  • Develop knowledge for optimum blade design by creating and improving design / analysis documentation, e.g. Drawings, Design Practices, Design Templates etc.

Skills and Experience:

  • BS+ degree in Mechanical/Composite Material Engineering with 3+ years engineering experience on composite component design;
  • Proven capability of composites structural stress/strain calculation. Be familiar with ANSYS and composite material FEA modeling;
  • Understand composite material properties, failure modes and manufacturing processes;
  • Great team working spirit and good communication skills; strong capability to interact with cross-functional and global teams and self-motivated;
  • Fluent English (written & verbal) for working in a global team;
  • 6-Sigma GB certified;
  • MS+ advanced degree in Engineering;
  • Wind Blade design experience;
  • Matlab programming experience;
  • Good knowledge on composite material testing;
  • Working experience in multi-national companies.
