Job description

Our client, a successful European developer of wind farms is searching for a Civil Engineer.

You will be responsible for:

• Examination and assessment of wind power projects regarding construction work requirements, focussing on foundation design and roadway construction;
• Support of site visits to assess project-specific construction work requirements;
• Preparation of specific structural specifications for national and international wind power projects in close cooperation with the specialist departments involved;
• Support of project development organisation in planning, acquisitions and contract negotiations;
• Support of project development organisation in obtaining building permits;
• Organisation of internal training sessions in civil engineering;
• Close cooperation with other specialist departments in technical project assessment.

Skills and Experience:

• Successfully completed degree in construction engineering;
• Several years of practical experience in civil engineering as well as professional experience in the wind industry;
• Knowledge of international contract law (e.g. FIDIC, Orgalime etc.);
• Very good command of written and spoken English, knowledge of a second foreign language would be an advantage;
• Good mastery of MS Office, especially Excel;
• Strong negotiation skills and perseverance;
• High social competence, deep commitment and strong intercultural skills
